山羊岛海岸保护区

山羊岛海岸保护区 (Cape Rodney-Okakari Point Marine Reserve) is a 518 hectare marine reserve that was formed in 1975.

位于利附近, approximately 80 kilometres north of downtown 奥克兰, it is New Zealand's first marine reserve that covers the area between Cape Rodney and Okakari Point.

The reserve is renowned as one of the best locations for snorkeling and diving in New Zealand, attracting divers of all levels of experience.  The waters of 山羊岛海岸保护区 are home to big snapper, 蓝鳕鱼, 小龙虾, 鹰射线, 绯鲵鲣, 风笛手, 红色的一部分, parore and many more species of fish.

All the marine life is protected in the reserve including the sea urchins (Kina).
